The field is a field- we’ve tried to level the trail as much as possible but you may encounter some uneven parts. Honey bees and other pollinators will be in the field- an important part of a sunflower’s life cycle. Please be aware of this. If you don’t bother them they won’t bother you.

Professional photographers are welcome

Everyone, including the photographer, must pay admission to Old McDonald's Farm to visit our sunflower fields. There is no admittance after hours. Note our special evening hours for those sunset pictures!

You do not need to set-up any appointments with us for professional sessions. As long as you adhere to our admissions and business hours policies and understand that other customers are enjoying the sunflower fields as well, that is enough for us! Where you meet up with your clients is up to you. Anyone not adhering to our admissions and business hours policies, and/or disrespecting other customers, will be asked to immediately leave the property.

We do not allow dogs on our farm (except for ADA certified service dogs)

Plan ahead for our special “Sunflower Sunset Hours”!

Friday August 30th and Friday September 6th, 5-8 pm

Admission during the sunset hours is our regular price of $15.95/ person, age 2 and older. Admission will include access to our “Secret Garden” sunflower field, visiting the animals, and the other farm activities. The gift shop and ice cream stand in the visitors center will be open! U-pick flowers jars and buckets will be available to purchase as well. (The mega-slide will NOT be open during the sunset hours).
Photographers: As you schedule your sunset mini-sessions, we suggest building in our admission price into your session price so that there are no surprises from clients when they arrive at the farm and have to pay admission! If you choose not to build our admission price into your session fees, then we ask you to inform your clients that they must pay admission to the farm.
Online tickets are not available at this time: all admissions should be paid “at the door” or we can invoice photographers in advance for admission fees (please message us if you want to receive an invoice in advance).
The farm will close promptly at 8 pm, so please be done with your sessions and ready to exit the field no later than 7:50 pm. Schedule your sessions accordingly!
